What We Believe
About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. As God the Father He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all-wise. He becomes Father to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
About Jesus Christ
Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. …He lived a sinless life and was the perfect sacrifice for the sins of man by dying on the cross. He literally rose again on the third day and conquered sin, hell, and death. He ascended to Heavens glory where he sits at the right hand of the Father. He will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He exalts Christ. He makes men aware of their sin and of their need for Jesus. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.
About the Bible
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.
About Salvation
Salvation is a free gift from God. Each person can receive this free gift by repenting of their sins and by trusting in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus that man can be saved.
About Man
Man was created by God in His Image to have a relationship with Him. However, man of his free will chose to disobey God and sin against Him. It is sin that separates man from God. As a result, man is incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.
